script: logic
Movies are like ghosts
There are people who believe in them
and other who don't.
When you think about it, this film never should have existed.
All what I needed was to begin to believe in it, then, other people joined me and finally it started to take shape.
Logically I should have done like any self respecting director, or in any case one who respects the usual norms and procedures. I should have written a few lines, a pitch, and from there found a producer, financing, help, a grant...
Thank you, I already did that.
Crazy, I should have written the script and from there, as above, found a producer, financing, help, a grant...
Thank you, I already did that.
On two continents.
And I've seen the results.
Not the results I was hoping for, that is the money and support which would allow me to make movies...
No.
Mainly I just got a slap on the head, denigration, or worse, indifference.
So I didn't do what was expected. No pitch, no synopsis, no summary, no treatment
I did have a screenplay, though
Only those who wanted to work with me read it.
The money was raised by 250 people through Kickstarter, Paypal, checks and cash.
At times the weight was difficult to bear. 250 people who took a gamble with you, small amounts, large amounts. That's not what counts though.
Looking at oneself straight in the mirror without blinking is a daily fight. But looking at 250 people in addition to yourself! 250 pairs of eyes staring at you!
This film never should have existed. Logically.
Logic. Who determines? Who decides?
You are the ones who decided that this film should be made, you the 250 backers, and you who have supported me on a daily basis, technicians, actors, friends, neighbors, family.
That said, logically, this film does exist.
